My last period was 12/17/04. I took a pregnancy test on 1/16 & 1/18 they were both pos. I saw my OB Dr. who calculated me to be about 9.5 wks yesterday 2/24. She felt my uterus and said that I only felt 6wks, she also used the doppler and did not get a heartbeat. She did not seem like there was anything for me to be worried about, but should I worry? I had an ultrasound that did not show a heartbeat either. Is this normal, could it still be a little to early to detect the heartbeat?

How soon can we hear the babys heartbeat?

Has anyone ever heard of a positive outcome for someone 7 weeks pregnant with a low sporadic fetal heartbeat?

At nine weeks my OB had to use a vaginal probe ultrasound to detect my baby's heartbeat.

teewhy:
I went for a u/s and the heartbeat was detected at 6 weeks 4days. (160 beats per min.) I think you might have been a few days early but this does not explain you being 9 weeks along with a uterus the size of 6 weeks. good luck, you can e mail me at Mercedezz_34@yahoo.com. ps: normally a fetal heart rate can be heard with a doppler at 9 or 10 weeks.
