So this weekend we had a trip to the ER for some bright red bleeding. By the time we got there it had stopped and only brown was visible by me and the ER doc. He didn't mention anything except miscarriages, so that was a total downer for the rest of the weekend. I didn't have any cramps or any other serious symptom, so he said that was a good sign as well as my high hormone levels. So I visited my OB this morning for a follow-up. She said that it may have been the placenta separating from the uterus a little bit that caused the bleeding-but didn't really have a definite answer. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this somewhat common? She didn't seem too worried, but took a quick doppler reading just in case and low and behold we heard the heart really well at just 8 weeks. I really want to hear from someone else that went on to a normal pregnancy or if you have any words of advise. I am still a little nervous about the whole thing.....
