How much did you weigh to begin with? I'd say 7 pounds is a bit much right now but woman gain weight differently. You may gain and then have a couple of months where you don't gain anything. I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless you are already over weight. Remember your goal is to gain 25-35 pounds through the entire pregnancy (ONLY IF you are not over weight). If you are over weight then I would try eating really healthy because you don't want to gain too much weight.

7 pounds at 3 months isn't all that much. It is a little more than Dr's. like you to gain but with my last two pregnancies I had probably gained 5 or 6 pounds by 12 weeks. Just make sure you are eating healthy.

My friend gained 10 lbs by 12 weeks. But she ended up gaining 80 lbs during her pregnancy! Just try to eat healthy i guess. I'm almost 11 weeks and i've lost 2 lbs but my belly has grown.... go figure?

I have always gained a ton during the 1st trimester and I'm not overweight and it always came off. With my first I gained 50, 2nd was 40 and 3rd only 30 lbs. Now I'm preggo with #4 and I'm up 8 lbs. at 12 weeks. Go figure!!!! First trimester I eat whatever I think I can tolerate and whenever, anything to make me feel better. Once I am feeling okay I watch what I eat and things just even out:)
