5 Days Late, This Never Happened...am I?

Hey, so I'm 5 days late on my period & have some cramps & naseau. Ive never been late before but maybe a day but never 5 plus I had a pink spot, literally a spot and then 2 days later a brown spot. Def large posisbilty so I did take a pregnancy test on the 4th day but it said negative. Now I am stressed & confused. what do i do & what does this mean?

Sometimes the hormone takes a while to build up to testing levels - it should double every few days. If you had a contraceptive mishap the last week of July, then you should test again at one week intervals using first morning pee until two weeks late. After that the chances of it being something else are rising. Good luck!
