I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me that i am 80% effaced, what does this mean?

it means your cervix is thinning! getting shorter and ready for baby to come! doesn't mean however that she'll come right away...a lot of women walk around for weeks completely 100% effaced! Good Luck!
