OK - I have heard many myths regarding gender - some of which are nausea/throwing up = girl, mild sickness = boy, carry high = girl, carry low = boy, craving veggies = girl, craving fruit = boy, chinese calendar etc... has anyone fit into all or any of these catergories and they have been right?... or wrong? any other ways to tell gender? I am 8 weeks and am barely craving anything except breyers vanilla bean ice cream (moderately) and subway tuna/veggie subs... i would love to hear your experiences :)

Well they say I am having a girl and I am carrying really high. The baby is right under my boobs! I had very little morning sickness though. I dont crave vegetables at all! I crave chocolate and ice cream and all other sweets!!

Oh yeah and the chinese calender said "girl" for me.

because i try to avoid alternative spiritual things like horoscopes etc i didn't look for the chinese calendar, but ended up finding it by accident and it said i was having a girl

I craved and ate fruits and veggies with both my girls, and only threw up once each. With my 2nd girl I had bad heartburn/nausea though. Now I'm having a boy, and from the beginning I craved RED meats. Now I craved cakes. Not just any sweets, but baked ones. I also craved lemons in the beginning. I'm carrying low. My tummy is a basketball, and it was a watermelon with my last girl. I still have heartburn/nausea with the boy, but haven't thrown up at all. Looks like it could just go either way.

I had two girls each pregnancy was totally oppisite of the other. the first had horrible nasea no throwing up though. she was way loe in my hips and my did she spread them wide tons of heartburn even from water. second one i basically had no symptoms except she was real high and pushing out on my stomach all the time. ouch that really hurt.

I pretty much kill most of those myths. I'm having a girl. I had mild nausea and never threw up. I am 29 weeks and still carrying low. Ever since I was pregnant, I can't stand vegetables, but I love fruit and any kind of spicy food. The Chinese calendar was right- it did say I was having a girl.

I'm having a boy. Hardly any nausea, craving sweets, chinese calendar was wrong.

I had very little morning sickness and carried high with my daughter ( and by the way I ate Subway all the time . ) I'm 37 weeks pregnant with this one and didn't find out the sex, but it's very low and I've been very sick throughout most of my pregnancy ... and craving junk food. Hopefully that helps a little, good luck !!! :)

When I was carrying my son, I had morning sickness that lasted all day for 6 months. I carried real high. And had heartburn only when I layed down on my right side. I didnt have any unusuall cravings. They also say that craving sweets is a sign of a girl and craving salty foods is a sign of a boy. Right now I am 5 weeks and so nauseaus I dont crave anything yet. I'm hoping for another boy.

1st child was a girl. I carried high, was sick from day one to day of delivery, craved sweets, gained weight all over, had serious heartburn, chinese chart said girl.
this time I was sick for 3 wks. carrying low, crave salt, not much weight gain, still have heartburn. Chinese chart says boy. Guess I will have to wait another 14wks to see.
