Hi T it was still negative, but still no period. What's going on? I wonder how long it's taken people to get a positive on the hpt. How many days without af?

Okay...I had to add this because I've been researching all night...I'm a day late, and I had a test strip left over from the clear blue easy digital test, but had thrown the reader out. I'm a pee-on-a-stick-aholic, even though I'm not ttc, so I tried it out, and only got one line. But I wanted to research it...and this is what I found. The reason you're supposed to disregard the lines on the strip itself is because clear blue easy digital tests not only detect hcg, but also the ovulation hormone. I don't understand WHY they do this, but 99% of the time, a woman has this hormone in her system, and no matter when the test is taken, it will most likely show two lines (mine probably didn't because I'm on the pill), and that has nothing to do with being pregnant. Thats why the instructions state that you should disregard the strip itself completely. There's actually many articles out there on the net about this. If my af doesn't show up in the next day or two, I'm going to go buy a real test (not a digital one), and retest. Anyway...I hope this helps : )

I had the same situation. There were 2 lines when I took the strip out. Well, I took one a week ago and there was not a faint line. There was an evaporation line like 3 days later. Then I threw it out. If this is the case how in the world can those be correct. This has gotten my hopes up. My problem is the not pregnant came up like 10 seconds after I peed on it. That did not seem right to me, so I took the strip out and after about 3 to 5 minutes I saw a very faint line. Which stinks because my husband and I have been trying for 2 years. I am a week late and I am normally on time. 28 day cycle. I am going to take another HPT with another brand.

has anyone found if this second line means pregnant or not??

ava - January 6th, 2005 11:18 PM

SME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME... I AM SO CONFUSED!!!

KP - January 7th, 2005 2:28 PM

same happened to me too!! I shouldn't have taken the strip out and looked, as it gave me hope!! 2 More days till AF, but still negative with First Response Early, so guess you SHOULD disregard the strip when using digital CBE.

The first test i took was with +/- but the + was faint so i went back to the store and got a different test, forget about the + or -, get the ept digital test, it spells out pregnant or not pregnant, it runs about $18.00, good luck

I bought a pack of 3 tests, i did them over a few days, all of them said not pregnant, one of them had only one line, the other two had two lines one control line one feint line. I havent had a period since october last year and every test i take is either negative or has very feint lines and its getting very annoying and ordinary tests are doing the same thing, at the very start i got two feint positive tests then all negative ones but still no period for 3 months so i have no idea whats going on and dont want to go to a doctor i would feel silly because the tests are negative or too feint.

go to www.peeonastick.com, they talk about the secret of the digital tests. its very informative and will explain alot.

Cyn - January 17th, 2005 5:22 PM

I used the Clear Blue Digital test and was tested "Pregnant" and did see two blue lines when I took the stick out. Nevertheless, after reading so many doubts on Clear Blue pregnancy kits, I will be seeing a doctor to confirm the pregnancy. Try another brand and see what happens.

25guessing - January 18th, 2005 3:26 AM

I've tested on a million different brands & different test. My personal stand is that, I will never use the Digital Test again. Because... I'm ttc, and I keep staring at the pee stick even when the digital reading says "Not Pregnant". Hahaha. Anyway, my last period was 16 Nov 2004. I've gotten a few faint positives, and went to my doctor. But he did a u/s and v/s, and both showed nothing! Imagine my disappointment. However, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, because he did ask me to go in 2 weeks later to test again. I'm so fustrated... yet elated and hopeful... at the same time quite pissed and moody. Am I going crazy?

to the above poster - i just had a negative ultrasound today, even though I had two positive pregancy tests. What happened at your next ultrasound?

Carrie - March 28th, 2005 2:02 PM

Hi Maria!
Do you have an update for me?? Did you go to your doctor yet? Sounds like we're exactly the same.. I had the exact same thing but I want to share my experience with you but I'm curious whether you went to the doctor yet.. Let me know!!!

Throw the Clear Blue Digital Hpt in the garbage and go buy an EPT digital. They pop out of the digital holder and the lines are VERY clear. :)

stacy - September 6th, 2005 6:01 PM

what does one line on a clear blue test means

help - September 13th, 2005 5:33 PM

Has anyone used the digital and got a NOT PREGNANT reading, but took out the test strip and it was indeed a really faint blue line and was pregnant?
