My husband and I have been ttc for a few months now. Has anyone had a BFP using FertilAid?

kimberly - July 10th, 2009 10:14 AM

What does it have in it? I took soy supplements with black cohosh in it to help concieve my second. It worked for me. I think alot of herbs will help with fertility when it is just a simple hormonal imbalance but when it is something more it may not be so helpful. My problem was I wasn't getting a period at all, I took them for about 3 months and then I got my first period in 2 1/2 years and 3 months later I concieved. So 6 motnhs of taking the herbs I concieved, this was after 3 years of trying without the herbs. I really think it is what done it for me.

If you have not already done so, I would make appointments for both you and your husband to rule out any potential problems. It is normal for it to take a few months to conceive. I think the guideline is to see a dr. after 1 year of ttc if you are under 35 and after 6 months if you are over 35. I took the female fertility blend and I noticed that my fsh went rom 9.5 to 7.5. My husband also took the male ferlity blend. We had other issues but I think that overall, supplements can help. Good luck!

Hi, Sorry it took me so long to reply. The FertilAid supplement I'm taking has a blend of vitamins and minerals like you would have in a prenatal vitamin and it also has herbs like vitex chaste berry and red clover extract. We have been ttc for about four months now. I just thought this supplement might help. My periods are pretty normal but my cycle does vary by about four days, between 29 and 33 days. I have one son who is two and he was conceived on our first try, which I know is kinda rare, so I just need to be more patient this time and hopefully I will have BFP soon! Thanks ladies!~

Well, I don't know if it was due to taking FertilAid or not, but we had BFP this month!!!!! I will be due in April. It was my first and only month taking the FertilAid supplement while TTC.

Sable - Congratulation I am so very happy for you. I do have a question for you. Where did you get the FertilAid? Can I get it from the health food store? What day did you start taking it? Well AF found me on Saturday just like I knew she would. Take care. Krissy68

Krissy68- I got FertilAid off the internet. If you go to FertilAid.com you should be able to order some. I don't know if the health food store would carry it, but it may. I started taking it just like I would vitamins and then as soon as you get BFP you just switch back to regular prenatal vitamins. I hope it will help! Baby dust to you!!

Sable - Thanks for the information I still haven't made it to the healthfood store and it is already cd6 for me maybe I will try and order some and start next cycle. Do you still have some left over that I could buy from you or do you remember how much it cost and how many come in the bottles. How are you feeling? Have you made your doctor's appointment yet? Rub your belly for me. I was able to send in some money to the fertility doctor so I can have that surgery I need to fix my left tube and get rid of the scar tissue. New balance is $650.00 so I can can see the end of the tunnel. I hope to have the surgery done before the new year. Talk to you soon. Krissy

Krissy~ You can start taking FertilAid at anytime during your cycle. From what I understand it naturally helps regulate hormones and promotes a healthy reproductive system so the longer period of time you take it the more effective it becomes. I took it instead of a prenatal vitamin because the capsuls also have vitamins in addition to the herbs. A bottle contains enough for thirty days and it was around $28.00 and the website has free shipping. I would send you my left over capsuls but I only have about six left so that wouldn't do much good. I am sorry to hear you have to have surgery to help your fertility. I really hope you are able to have the surgery as you've planned and that it will bring you a BFP! I have been feeling okay. I have been EXTREMELY tired but not too much nausea yet. I think I was a little further along with my son before the bad nausea set in. Maybe I'll be lucky this time and not have any.... I have not made my Dr's appt yet but plan to do it next week. Take care and I would definetly give the fertilaid a try. ~Sable

Sable - How are you doing and feeling? Take it easy and get as much rest as you can. Rub your belly for me. I will check into getting me some FertiAid as soon as possible I think I will just start on the first day of my cycle that way I can keep track. I will keep you posted on when it is getting closer for me to have the surgery done. I know they will only perform the surgery between cd6-12. I do have a question but I am not sure if you can help me with this one. My cycle is 29 days long and I started this current cycle on August 8 and the only thing I am doing this month is taking my temp and using opk and of course bding as much as possible. I always start using my opk on cd10 no later then cd11 well today is cd10 and guess what I got a bfp both lines are real dark I am really confused I am thinking that this cycle is going to be totally messed up. Can anyone please give me some advise. Krissy

Sable - August 31st, 2009 12:54 AM

Krissy~ Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. The morning sickness has really kicked in the last couple weeks and I haven't been on my computer much. It should be called all day sickness cuz that is what I have been going through. Not too much throwing up just constant nausea. As far as your OPK, I never had much luck with those. The month I got my BFP I never did get a positive OPK and I tested for like ten days straight. I would say, though, that the two dark lines sound like a positive result to me. Don't stress about having a messed up cycle cuz it sounds to me like you ovulated. Trying to get pregnant is so stressy. Hang in there! Any news on your surgery? Just as a word of encouragment, one of my good friends got pregnant with only one falopian tube.

Sable - How are you doing? You poor baby I am so sorry that you aren't feeling so good but it will pass soon. Hang in there and just think you have a little person growing inside. I am so happy for you. It's okay that you don't get on the computer much I am only get on the computer at my job and that is only Mon-Fri unless I miss a day. You can always email me privately if you want my email is kris dot neely at marach dot af dot mil. This cycle has just been weird but I am glad that I did start testing on cd10 because I would have missed the first day positive. I think as far as I know I am always getting a positive and I really try and bd during that time frame. You are right it is so stressy and it is even more stressful for me since I am 41 and I don't think I have ever tried this hard but I am not going to give up until I go through menopause and so far that haven't happened yet. Well here is the latest update on the surgery I made a promise to myself (so far so good)that every 2 weeks when I get paid I am going to get at least a $50 money order and send it in it isn't much but it is something instead of not sending anything in. As of August 21 my new balance is either $600.00 or $425.00 I am still going with the high end of the balance because they might not be able to lower the anesthesia part but wither way come Friday I will be happy because I am just that much closer to having my surgery it will either be $550.00 or $375.00. My ex always send me money for the kids so I will be pinching off of that to send in as well so I might be able to send in a double payment. I will let you know. I know I just have to buy my 15 year old some gymshoes as well as my 4 year old and get them a coat now so I don't wait too late or at least put it in the layaway. Thank you very much for the words of encouragment and that is so true about only needing one tube but I have a lot of fibroids and built up scar tissue. Rub your belly for me and keep me updated on how you are doing. When do you go to the doctors. Krissy
