I'm nineteen and I'm going to be 10 weeks pregnant in two days, my fiance and I are going in for our first ultrasound. What exactly happens when you go in for an ultrasound for the first time? Like what do they do, and how does it all go? I'm kind of excited but also nervous.

They check and make sure everything is going okay. You will have to have a full bladder THAT SUCKS! You have to pee sooo bad and yet you wait wait wait to get iin the room. So Good Luck! and concrats

The full bladder is only required early in the pregnancy. That may apply in your case, maybe milissa can tell you more. If you are having an abdominal US, they put this goop on your tummy. Hopefully they will warm it up first. Then a device called a transducer or probe (used in vaginal ultrasounds) is used to "see" the baby. Hopefully you will be able to get 3D/4D imaging of your baby moving around and pictures on DVD. But, you may only get a picture. I was able to get both at my first US at 12 weeks. I have tons of pictures of my baby and its not even here yet. It's advisable to wear pants, instead of a dress, so all you have to do is pull up your shirt.
