It's 3 weeks since my daughter's birth and my stomach has gone down a lot, but it's very saggy and wobbly. I'm so disgusted by it and can't wait to do some stomach crunches, but I'm not sure if it's safe as I heard that it takes 6 weeks for the uterus to strink back to normal size. I saw my doctor today, but completely forgot to ask him! So, does anyone know?

Anyone?

I think that you can start at about four weeks, (that's when I did), just as long as it's not super strenous and you stop if it starts to hurt. I think a lot of it depends on your body...but try some low impact exercises at first and gradually work your way up...Good luck!!!

I think I started crunches at about 4 weeks also. I would be careful though don't do too much at one time. I started with 50 in the morning and 50 at night and I can already feel my muscles coming back. I had my baby about 2 1/2 months ago.

Thanks Steph and Christina. That means just 1 more week to go! Yey! I'm at the stage where my maternity clothes are too big for me, but my pre-pregnancy clothes are way too small, so I can't wait to lose my tummy. I refuse to buy bigger sizes. It's just too depressing!

Yeah, I hear ya. I hated that stage. My old clothes are finally starting to fit again, thank goodness. I still have a little tummy left to get rid of, but the crunches really help!
