Okay. Don't panic. First of all you need to be calm so your 2 year old behaves/is happy/is not worried about you and so that the baby inside you also feels safe and calm. It now has organs including a heart and a brain so is a highly dveloped individual already. Even try visualising that your baby is safe and well in a big red duvet in your womb or something... Tell baby that it is safe.
2 - Are you looking after yourself and baby? Are you taking multivitamin support? Are you eating well? You need to do all of this to look after your baby and ensure ahealthy pregnancy
I don't have enough experience of prometrium without looking it up but it sounds like you are getting some serious side effects. You are nearly at the end of your 1st trimester so I would suggest stopping taking it. If you feel you still need support than go to a Medical Herbailst or Naturopath who will treat you both as a whole rather than a vessesl to create a pregnancy in. There are supplements and herbs that can sort you out.
My experience? 13 years as a Naturopath and Osteopath.
Good luck and I hope I haven't rocked your boat too much.

first off, thaks for they reply and input, i definatelt dont act frantic in front of my 2 yr old, lol he is just bad, he is 2 so its a normal kind of bad, i am taking a multivitamin since before i was pregnant, i eat extremely healthy minimal meat chicken and leane meat, spinach, sweet potatoes anything high in "good stuff" lol along with plenty of whole grain. my problem with prometrium is basically having no medical advice while im on it, since we are in the military we are shuffled right now when it comes to doctors, so i need to know if i could come off it it bc of the stroke, i found out coming off of it could cause a stroke or heart attack so i have four more weeks, i actually have an amazing medical herbalist she has been to school and been doing it for over 30 yrs shes amazing and we love her she know how to treat anything! she had me on red raspberry supplements to support my uterus and a few other things as well but nothing actually stopped the miscarriages, so i know that whole rehlm of help and do use it, i am starting to not feel the side affects as much and am doing much better, i am ready to be weaned off of it soon and will be back on the natural path soon, but at the end of the day the baby is healthy and thats what i want :)

I am on prometrium right now. I heard that the side effects can be worse if you are taking it orally. How are you taking yours? My suggestion would be to take it vaginally if you can. I have been on it for nearly 5 weeks now with no side effects what-so-ever. I have read a lot about the medication too, as I am pregnant with my first child after being told that I couldn't have children. I will do anything not to lose this baby. Right now we are at a little over 9 weeks and just saw the heartbeat last week. I know military bases can be hard, my sister had 2 kids on one, so I sympathize for you. But seriously I do suggest if you aren't already try the prometrium vaginally and as a tip, ask you husband to help you with the application, not to be gross, but he can get it closer to where it needs to be then you can. I just reminded mine that we have to work to make this baby grow and he was simple to get to help me. Good Luck and please let me know how you are doing!!!

hi, i really hate being the one always bringing the bad news i stayed on the prometrium and went for my 10 week ultrasound and the baby wasnt alive this will be my 4th miscarriage and my first d n c i had it 2 days ago i had a horrible labor was worse than with my lving son bc tissue got stuck in my cervix and caused my uterus to contarct nonstop and they used forceps to removed it while i was awake before my dnc even after all the intense bleeding and contraction the baby was still in there so they gave me a dnc i am so numb right now i was grieving up until this point but now the pain meds have my head wrongi hope that noone goes through this again and it doesnt mean prometrium doesnt work that just wasnt my bodies problem so that wasnt the right fix for me. they didnt do the blood tests they just gave it to me to see if it would work along with asprin and it didnt im seeing a specialist now who is amazing so its nice to have some hope, even after 4 mc i have a 70% chance of a healthy baby. good luck girls

lillove bean keep me updated im ssure youll be fine. why did they tell you you couldnt have kids? ni got told that too after i was pregnant lol bc my uterus is tilted so they seemed suprised i was but another dr said that had nothing to do with getting pregnant. and that was a more experienced dr.

lillovebean - October 7th, 2009 4:03 PM

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I don't know how to put it into words other then to tell you sorry. I hope that you feel better.

Thus far all is going well I think. I still am incredibly fatigued and my boobs hurt occasionally. I haven't really had a problem with morning sickness, just been naucious a few times. I think that everything is going well. I have a few pains here and there, but I believe that is normal. I did have a yeast infection and a bladder infection last week at the same time, that wasn't fun at all. Other then that though, I think all is well.

lillovebean, that's sounds good with my soon I only had a tiny bit of nausea and peed all the time, with me I knew something was wrong when I would just suddenly lose symptoms, how far along are you? Just bc entering you 2nd trimester its okay to lose some symtoms and feel better I'm sure you'll be great this pregnancy. I'm sorry to hear about the bladder infection, I have had many and they're awful, did you say you are taking prometrium bc one of the side affects of taking it vaginally is uti's or bladder infections that why I switched to oral bc I'd rather be nauseas than have an infection. I hope andpray everything goes smoothly for you
