Hi Jonelle! Girl what you are feeling is totally normal. It's WORKING! I feel the fluffyness and tightness 2 days after inserting them...but, I take them more frequently than you. I'm always worried that I'm not inserting them deep enough!? While I'm at work I insert in the morning and at lunch and I sit at my desk upright with my legs up on a chair; when I get home at night before bed I lay down in my bed or couch with a pillow propped underneath my bum to keep the bullets deep in there. I hope my sitting at work isn't jeopardizing anything? I must tell you also that my face is totally breaking out; big pimples I've never had before! hummmm.... |

Chantal...you are funny! I do the same thing...I insert it and then try to sit very still for about a half an hour to let it do its magic:) I also find that wearing a panty liner is a must because some does leak out. I have not noticed my face breaking out...which for me is a different sign because usually 4-5 days before my period is due I get the "breakouts." This time my face is staying nice and clear. Weird huh? Another weird thing for me is that again 5-6 days before I am due I get totally miserable, short and edgy...I will get a very short fuse and really have to keep it in check with my 2 1/2 year old. But, this time I am totally not feeling that way and am surprisingly in a good mood! How have you been with that? Let me know...we are on the down side now lady! Have a great rest of the day and talk to you soon! |

hello again Jonelle; I haven't been irritated either but, very emotional. I can cry on the drop of a dime. You have a good day too! A little tidbit of info for you; I'm a signed canadian country artist (singer) currently working on my next album; I just want you to listen to one of my songs called "It Takes a Child". Go to chantallaurin (include the bells and whistles) |

Chantal...Oh my goodness! What a beautiful song and such an accomplishment for you...CONGRATS! That was wonderful to see and listen to. Thank you for sending that my way...I can't wait to let my husband listen to it when he comes home from work. I too have been super emotional and can cry at the drop of a hat. Have you ever done the hpt earlier than the day you are due? I am getting really anxious but I know that 5-6 days out it probably wouldn't show up and then I would get really bummed even if I was pregnant. I wasn't sure if you had ever tried that...let me know. Talk to you soon and thank you again for that website! You are EXTREMELY talented:) |

Hi Jonelle; Ahhh Thanks for the compliments ! Don't do the HPT early....just be patient and do it on Sunday. I've had bad luck with those darn early tests...got a negative and actually was positive 4 days after. You can do it!!!!! |

You have no idea how thankful I have been to be able to talk to you about our "issues." I feel the same way tonight...no new symptoms. How about you? Is this countdown over yet? Ha Ha |

Good morning Jonelle; I was telling my husband all about "us" and the way our dates are very close and the symptoms we are both having and I too feel very greatful for having met you here; eventhough we've never spoken...I feel excited to hear about your progress and it's a feeling of reassurance knowing that there is someone out there just like me! I had to go to the Doctor's yesterday to get my prescription of prometrium re-filled and they gave me enough for 3 months. GOOD...that will get me through to the end of my trimester!!! hee...hee...3 more days for you and 6 for me - I guess I miscounted for me yesterday! |

Hey everyone, I just googled progesterone and miscarriage and came upon this site. Great info here. |

Hi livvyloo: I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy -- I had a negative test several days before my missed period, and then a positive test several days after my missed period. Around the third week fetal age (5 weeks after my last period), I started spotting and went to an OB/GYN who detected a sack/yolk, similar to what you described. There was no heartbeat at that point but they told me that was normal. I went back 2 weeks later and there was a heartbeat. What I didn't know then was that I was spotting due to low progesterone; no one ever tested my progesterone through the next 3 weeks of spotting. And I eventually miscarried that pregnancy. So, I'm glad to hear your doctor is already testing your progesterone and has put you on Prometrium. 13 is a little low for progesterone levels, but it doesn't neccessarily mean you'll m/c. Did you have your progesterone tested again since you started on the Prometrium? I would just demand that from your doctor, if for no other reason than peace of mind. My level with my current pregnancy went from 10 to 21 after just five doses of Prometrium! One thing I've read is that often, women who get pregnant while breast feeding will have low levels of progesterone. Are you breast feeding right now, or were you when you got pregnant? That could be the cause for a semi-low level. Good luck! It sounds like you're on top of the situation, which is more than half the battle :) |

Minkey- Thanks for your experience. I am breastfeeding right now and have worried that it has something to do with my problems. I know they were checking for hcg with yesterdays blood draw, but I don't think progesterone. I will ask the nurse when they call with the results this afternoon if I don't call them first:) |

Hi livvyloo...I am glad that you found this forum...it is wonderful! I found it not too long ago and have made wonderful friends in the same situation. As far as your situation goes I have had a similar situation. I now have a 2 1/2 year old who at the beginning started out as a twin. I started spotting only 2 days after I took the hpt and they immediately put me on the prometrium. They gave me a sonogram immediately and found that there were two separate sacs...one had a heartbeat (my son now) and the other one didn't. But again...they said that it was normal for that to happen and requested that I come back in another 2 weeks for another sonogram. I was doing the prometrium every day for the first trimester. When I went back for the second sono, the other sac had disappeared...so I am thankful that I have my little guy. I am trying to get pregnant again as we speak...I am due for the period Sunday so keep the fingers crossed:) This time around they have put me on the prometrium day 17 that way I can make sure that there is enough in there prior to getting pregnant. I am confident that it will work as I have a known luteal phase deficeincy. This time though they have out me on it vaginally twice a day...I say the more the merrier! I wish you all the luck in the world and share you feelings...stay positive and let me know what other advice I can give you...talk to you soon! |

Chantal...here is one for you: I typically have very light aereolas and nipples. In the past 3 days, the bumps that are on the areolas have really "popped" out! I NEVER have them:) They are like brand new boobs:) Let me know if this is happening to you...or anything else for that matters. Talk to you soon! |

Ok, I got my levels and it went up to 13286, so it more than doubled in 72 hours. I am trying not to get my hopes up, but the office said this was good. |

Hi Jonelle; I'm really starting to get scared. I don't have any symptoms at all. Other than tender breasts but that's from prometrium I'm sure. I was on a site today that said some people feel absolutely nothing. So, I don't know anymore. I'm not tired at all; no protruding nipples; no NOTHING! Should I be feeling dumpy...argh....I just don't know! I'm really happy that you seem to be showing some pretty good signs there! fingers still crossed for you and prayers still being done every night! |

Jonelle: just to be more elaborate on my comment. I have no pregnancy symptoms and I guess at 3 weeks there should be some things showing up like tiredness; and sore nipples but I don't show anything at all. The cramping is even all good too! Oh well...I'll check back in with you Monday. Good luck with your test on Sunday!!! |

Chantal...I am still keeping my fingers crossed for you. With my first son I had absolutely NO symptoms until I was a week past my missed period. I didn't even know or feel pregnant. So that can keep you encouraged. It was then that I started the nausea and fatigue...so stay positive. The problem that I am having is knowing whether or not the symptoms that I am feeling are from the prometrium or pregnancy...see, the first time I never started the prometrium until I was already pregnant...not like I did this time. So, I have had those cramping spells about 5 days ago and then the breast tenderness and largeness. So, I too am confused because I don't know where it is coming from! Why are we so complicated? :) I sure do hope that we are harboring little beans...I guess time will tell. Have a great weekend and I will talk to you soon:) |
