Chantal - hang in there. With my first pregnancy, I took a First Reponse and it was negative, but I KNEW I was pg. I took another First Response about 4 or 5 days later, and it was positive. Best wishes.

Ah...thank you so much for the positive advice! It means a lot to me. I will stay optimistic and I'll post back on Sunday when the 2 lines show up.

Hi. I posted my situation a few days ago. But today I went in to the dr and saw the heartbeat again and they said everythign looks good on the ultrasound.. Baby is measuring what it should 6 weeks 3 days... heart rate is good 120, but then when the blood work comes back my hcg has only gone up from 5912 on monday to 6664 today (friday)
They are telling me to try to not read into the numbers, but everything I am reading says that they need to double at least every 72 hours. Has anyone had any experience will this situation and everything been okay? What do you think?

Dpete79563 - I did have a similar situation with my current pregnancy. Progesterone and HCG got tested within 48 hours during my 5th week, and while my progesterone more than doubled (thanks to starting Prometrium during that 48 hour window), my HCG did not entirely double. It went up (I don't remember now by how much), but it didn't double. My doctor was far more satistfied with the increased progesterone level and didn't focus on the HCG really at all. All of your other signs sound good and at least your HCG is going up, not declining. Keep the faith!

chantel- Just some hope for you. I was supposed to get my period on Dec 13th, and I tested on the 12th, negative. Tested again on the 15th cuz I didnt get my period still, negative. Tested the 20th, Negative again. Then, suddenly on Christmas Eve, I tested for the last time. It was Positive!!! I am now almost 11 weeks, and going strong, Prometrium and all. Dont give up.

Hi, I'm 9 wks pregnant and I am on progesterone vaginal suppositories 2 times a day 200 mg each. I've been staining on and off the whole time while I'm on the progesterone. The dr. said it may be from the progesterone. I've taken sonograms and everything seems to be okay but I still get nervous every time I see blood. Is this normal to be staining while on the progesterone suppositories?

I am not pregnant......test says negative. I am on Prometrium 100mg orally. Can it make you feel pregnant (the small menstral type cramps)? Thanks for the help.

Renee R: Did you ask your doctor if it might be implantation bleeding? I had some staining in my first pregnancy, long past the initial 5 weeks when implantation bleeding would be considered "normal," and my doctor said implantation bleeding can come and go throughout the first trimester. I know it's scary to see blood; but know that you're doing everything you can to keep your pg. going steady!

Hi Amberlys mom...WOW! So you did that many tests and they were all negative eh? I went to see the Doc. yesterday (day off), and he sent me for Beta HCG. He called and said it also was negative, and to give him a call in a couple of days if I don't start my period. I've discontinued my prometrium for now and will start again after ovulation. Maybe I didn't release an egg cuz' it was my BAD side's month!? I have cysts on my left ovary (full of them)...so, maybe this month it will happen on my good side? Congrats on your 11 weeks!!! that's GREAT!

Well heres my update. Went to the doc today and apparently I am just paranoid because they did a quick scan and the baby was movin around and heart was going so WOO HOO

Amberlys mom...THAT IS FANTASTIC! It must be such an amazing feeling to see this miracle happening inside of you. I've started my cycle yesterday and will start prometrium later this month AGAIN. I'm praying that this will be my month. CHEERS to you with a VIRGIN margarita!
