New house, and there were apparently mice living quite comfortably there. We've caught 3 so far and my husband bought some poison to sprinkle around and was just wondering if this is safe for me, am almost 14 weeks. It will be mainly in the basement. I know a simple way to get rid of them would be to get a cat but cats bother his allergies. Anyone know a sure fire way to get rid of them? thanks.

I got the sticky traps. We too bought a house and found some mice in the garage. I don't like poison around especially with our pets so we did the sticky traps and caught on in a day! I haven't seen any friends of his since then! I am just hoping they don't come inside! I wouldn't go near the poison if I were you, have your husband do it.

I would get the little houses with food poison inside of them. It seems more safe than sprinkling it around. Im not a fan of the glue traps cause the mice stay alive starving and stuck to the trap. Not a pretty sight. Kinda sad in a way. Anyway with the food poison they bring it back to their family so you get rid of them faster. Just put it in places where the animals can't reach like in back of cabinets and the stove.
