I"m sorry and don't mean to sound rude in any way but there are no positions that can change the chromosomes that a sperm carry. Sperm is what is the deciding factor of the sex of a baby. No position can change that. I have heard however that "male"sperm tend to be stronger than "female" so a few peple on here say that by BD very close to O date your chances increase for a boy.. So I guess you could try BD a few days before O to increase chances for a girl, but honestly that could just be another myth

These are some things I found but I don't know whether or not they will work. Shettles says in order to increase the chances of having a girl, you should have sex everyday from the end of your period up to 2 1/2 to 3 days before ovulation. After this point, do not have unprotected sex until several days past ovulation. Shettles suggests that if you are trying to conceive a girl, shallow penetration from your partner, preferably with the missionary position, will deposit the sperm closer to the entrance to the vagina. This area is more acidic than closer to the cervix and acidity will work against the weaker "boy" sperm leaving more "girl" sperm available to fertilize your egg.
When trying to conceive a girl, Shettles recommends that you don't orgasm during sex as the body produces substances after orgasm that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the "boy" sperm.

I second the shettles method. I read up on it before we conceived and after having 5 sons and trying to concieve for over a year with #6, we tried the shettles method and it worked like a charm! Finally, we're having a little girl!

If you are so set on having a girl, have you considered adoption? That is the only sure way I know of to make certain you get a girl! Good Luck hope it all works out for you how ever you proceed.

I have also heard the if you have sex a few days before ovulation then your chances are much better for a girl. However, it's not like getting pregnant is easy. Some people (myself included) have taken months with perfect timing to get pregnant. And it is impossible to know exactly when you are going to ovulate. So if you don't mind it taking a very long time to conceive, this method could be for you. For me, I just wanted to get pregnant. It is very frustrating trying month after month, and I wouldn't want to ruin my chances by stopping before ovulation.

I wanted a girl too. I already have a 6 year old boy and we only wanted two children. I read a book "How to choose the sex of your baby" it is about shettles method. I don't know if I would swear by it but everyone that I know who has tried has gotten exactly what they wanted, whether it is just luck or what, I am not sure but I though it couldn't hurt anything. I found about about 4 weeks ago that I am 22 weeks preggo with a baby girl! According to Shettle it all has to do with timing. Good Luck
