I am nearly 33 and my baby is 2 months old. I am breastfeeding him. I want to have another baby as soon as possible because my biological clock is beginning to run down. We have not yet restarted intercourse, although we shall soon, and I haven't restarted my periods. I know that breastfeeding can stop you getting pregnant so have I got to stop feeding my son so that I can get another baby?

I would check with you doctor first, but I believe it is a myth the breastmilk is not good when pregnant. The milk may, however, take on another taste..perhaps saltier.

My best friend has 2 kids, one was born March 1997, the other March 1998. She was breastfeeding the first with the understanding that she couldn't get pregnant while doing so. She never had a period when she was breastfeeding. You may want to do some research on breastfeeding while pregnant. Not sure how one affects the other. Another thing, you're still young, if you waited another year, would it make that much of a difference? Good Luck. :o)
