What's wrong with wondering what your baby will look like? It's completely normal to wonder. We all do it. Kris didn't say she was wondering if her baby would be a super model, she's just curious like the rest of us.

That's part of the fun of haing a mixed baby...you never know what genes are going to pop up. Both my husband and myself are multi-racial. I am fair and he is tan. We both have medium brown eyes. Our first child was born with bright blue eyes (they aregreen now). Our second child has dark brown eyes. One child has coloring exactly like a peach. The other looks like cream. By the way...my children were born looking CAUCASIAN. They did not look "mixed" until after about 18 mos..now they look really ITALIAN..anywhooo...good luck on your baby and raise it to be proud of BOTH SIDES!!!!

might come out ugly just becaz it will be mixed doesnt mean it will be beautiful~

Blue eyes are dominant...or so that is what I learned in biology so it is very possible for your baby to have colored eyes. Your baby will most likely be very light when born...maybe even as light as you...but he/she will darken as he/she gets older. I have a black friend who has a mixed baby and he has like dark hazel eyes and very light skin but he's got the wide nose and lips and black curly hair. Mixed kids are beautiful so don't worry

Blue eyes are recessive. I'd sack that biology teacher if I were you. Lol!

hi kris...sorry about all the mean things that were said on your thread. i am so angry to see people saying things like they are going to have polka dots! if kris had been in a relationship with a white man...would this even be a frickin issue! every woman wonders what their baby is going to look like, i am only ttc and i still wonder who's eyes, nose, mouth and what type of body style, what color hair my baby will have. kris...your baby will be just beautiful! congratulations on your pregnancy, and good luck to you!

I've always been told blue eyes are dominant. Seems to show up in my family too...and others....I dunno...oh well

My sister had a mixed child she had blue eyes blonde hair the father was very dark and my nephew came out dark with dark brown eyes. some are light skinned and some are dark skinned i guess it just all depends on what God wants your baby to look like.

One of my best friends has a boy that is now 10 and his father is African American and she, my friend, is very pale w/blue eyes. He is beautiful, brown skinned and blue eyes. Of course this doesn't mean much, it's all up to God.

i guys-my husband is jamaican-not really that dark and im olive skinned white girl with brown eyes-our baby has blue-green eyes and light brown curly hair with blonde tips!! she is stunning if i say so myself-everyone tells me she will go darker-she has my husbands features-ignore all nasty comments-all babies are beautiful-someone said to me that "was i sure @@ was her father?"" unreal

jo t - May 7th, 2005 6:17 AM

me again-my baby has skin whiter than me but my husband said that when he was born he was really white-his mum said that she could see his veins! whatever your baby looks like you will love from the moment you see him or her, best wishes x

Kylie - May 11th, 2005 8:13 PM

My husband is dark brown and I'm fair white w/ blue eyes. We have a 15m baby girl with beautiful ringlits and blue eyes. Anythings possible. I think she's so beautiful because we love eachother a lot.

I am 15 weeks pregnant, and i am 25% mexican and the rest is spanish. I look white. My husband is black, but light skin. My mother keeps worrying about our child being raised with 2 different raced parents. i understand her concern but i just wish that she could be happy and believe that we can handle it. I honestly dont see what the big problem would be. Anyone with mixed children have any advice to give?

Alison - May 12th, 2005 10:52 AM

A good friend of mine is black & her husband is white. They have 3 beautiful boys who are "mixed race" (ie brown skin, brown eyes, black "afro" type hair-though it's cut short!) They are lovely boys. I think quite often the genes from the darker parent are dominant resulting in brown eyes & skin but I could be wrong. I'm sure your little one will be beautiful! xxx

What an absolutely fancinating question. I know a lady who is fair skinned with a dark skinned hubby and they had twins. One was dark with dark straight hair, the other was fair with curly orange hair, so i guess you will have to wait and see, and good luck :)
