I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 6 weeks ago, i am White Australian and my husband is Black African. The baby was born very white but has progressivly gotten darker over the weeks, i have heard that you can get a rough indication of their colour by the colouring right under their fingernails which is quite alot darker than the rest of him. I knew he would be more inclined to be like my husband, however, at the momment he has the softest, straight black hair like mine that appears to have no intention of curling but we'll see how it works out. Reagrdless, colouring of all babies takes a few months till they loose the reddish and chubbyness from birth. Good Luck

My brother is caucasion (light hair, blue eyes, olive toned skin) and he married a Filipino (spelling??). Their daughter has the most fair skin I have ever seen. If she doesn't wear an SPF45 or higher she is burnt to a crisp.

my husbands newphew is mixed with black and white and my child is part hispanic and black. They are both so beauttifulland i'm not saying that because i have to, it really is true that most mixed children are so beautiful. When the nephew was born he was very fair skinned, he was born with dirty blone straigt hair. He is two now and his hair has darkened up and got curly. his skin. has also darkened up some too. he is a beaautifull.i am hispanic and my husband is black we have a one month old baby. she is very fair skin, with a little tan . she has straight dark born hair, but i'm pretty sure over time it will turn curly. she has some of her fathers black features as well as my hispanic ones.

I am also mixed. My mom is black and creole (afro-american/french), light skinned, long pretty black hair, brown eyes. My dad is black and puerto rican with dark brown skin with straight, curly hair. his mother was full puerto rican, real dark skin, her eyes look asian, with curly hair. I came out with light brown skin, light eyes, straight, curly hair. Your child will be beautiful

Mixed babies r in:)
I'm a black woman expecting my first baby with my filipino husband...We can't wait for the outcome....God makes all babies beautiful...

I have a mixed daughter. Her dad is 1/2 black, which makes her 1/4. I know a lot of people with mixed kids and they never come out the same. You'll just have to wait. My daughter is darker than some of the kids I've seen who are 1/2 black.

yes me and my husband have a bi racial baby im white and he is black our daughter came out very very light skinned white and alot of peoplw would stare and say that not his baby but she is his daughter it all depends on you and your husbands backgroung the baby could come out with no white features or no black features or a little of both the thing is is that all bi-racial babies are beautiful so don't worry your son/daughter is going to be beautiful

sandra - June 7th, 2005 6:57 PM

My daughter is mixed to. I'm white, her daddy is black. My dd is 2.5, she usually has blue eyes, they switch up with her and weather I find. Sometimes green, sometimes hazel, other times differnet shades of blue.I think it just depends on the parents genes, whos are stronger. In my case mine were for the eyes. Shes got all black features the nose, lips, skin color, and hair. She is very beautiful.Good luck Kris, your baby will be beautiful regardless of the eye color.

Kris posted a few days ago to say that she had her baby. It's a boy and she knows what he looks like, so no need to keep posting people.

I have to amazing mixed girls. One is dark the other light...the dark one looks like me (I am white) and the light one looks like my husband (who is black). We are expecting our third in NOV....just can't wait to see what is next.... best of luck!

I'm also just as curious as you are Kris. I'm 9 months pregnant and could drop any time. My boyfriend is dark and I'm really light skinned. It's a girl (or at least that what the ultrasound says twice.), and I really am so curious as to what she looks like, or who she'll look like the most. I guess you'll just never know until your baby decides it's time for you to know. I have blonde wavy hair, and he has black soft hair. I almost can't wait anymore, I'm so excited to see what she looks like. Keep us updated please so we know what your baby looks like.
