I am 35 weeks pregnant and someone told me to drink raspberry leaf tea because it was good for the end of pregnancy. I bought raspberry leaf vitamin capsules and I was wondering if anyone knew if they are safe to take and when to take them? What do they actually do.

I'm not sure about the capsules. But, I do know that raspberry leaf tea is safe. You should start taking it at 35 wks.It most likely won't induce labour, but it may trigger some contractions, which, if you are ready, could jumpstart labour. What it does is it tones your uterus in preparation for childbirth. It's just supposed to make labour and then contracting back to your normal size a bit easier. Kind of like a work out for your uterus :p Just drink the tea about 2-3 times daily.
