Supporting My Wife And This Unexpected Pregnancy

My wife this morning found out she was pregnant even though she has an IUD. She turns 40 in a few days and well I am a few years older.
Besides normal house chores and holding her physically and emotionally, what is she going through right now?
We have a 2yr old boy and a 6yr old little girl.
I am very worried about her safety and our childs.
Tomorrow she goes to the OB and we'll have more to go on.
Thanks for the suggestions.

unfortunatly it may be an ectopic pregnancy which would have to be removed, which i can' t imagine, otherwise they may try to take out the iud which could result in miscarriage, or they could leave it in which may have the same consequences tho probably later on down the road, or best case you and your wife have a healthy new baby in 9months and she probably just needs extra help from you with the other kids and of course the new addition to the family, otherwise just talk to her and let her vent if she needs too. its kind of a scary position to be in. good luck and god bless you and your family. let me know how it goes
