I got pregnant using the "pull out" method. |

I've used the "pull out" method with my partner for over five years. I never became pregnant. Until now. Now, I think this both demonstrates that it is rather effective, and yet that it is obviously not 100%. Every statistic I've come across estimates a 4-5% failure rate when it is used strictly consistently (always pulling out in time). That's still pretty high considering there are no side effects and it is free. To say that it is flat out not effective for preventing pregnancy is a huge simplification of the matter. Of course, this rate is dependent upon the male always pulling out in time. I believe that the reason I am pregnant now is because of poor aim (ie, some sperm landed right on my vulva when he ejaculated, which of course gives a bigger risk of pregnancy). |

I'm currently in my 5th wk of pregnancy from the "pull out" method. First time we've had "unprotected" sex. |

the first time i got pregnant was due to the pull out ''method''. and i know for a fact that he didnt ejaculate inside of me b/c about 10 seconds after he pulled out he ejaculated all over himself. so i got pregnant off of pre-cum. |

I cant even believe this...... helloooo...... PRE-CUM CANNOT GET YOU PREGNANT!!! to all you guys and gals that think it can maybe you are not pulling out in time, if a guy has to hold back an orgasm a little sperm can be released, that is not pre cum, pre cum comes way before that... do the research, pre-cum does not contain sperm, the only way there would be sperm in it is if he previously ejaculated and didnt pee at all afterward, the urine would flush out and kill whatever sperm were left over in the penis holy crap am i sick of reading about this....... |

sumgirl01 you are so wrong! There is definitely sperm in precum! I learned this in 5th grade. I have met MANY babies that were made using the "pull out" method. Also, I have been with a few different guys and there precum comes out at different times. My exhusband had precum come out all through any sexual experience. My current husband does not have ANYthing come out until right before he comes. Anyways, precum definitely has sperm in it! Why would you argue with people that have actually gotten pregnant that way???? |

ok everything i said in my last post answers any question you may have, there is no sperm in precum, if there is then its not precum plain and simple, if you get pregnant from the pull out method then he did not pull out in time, its not rocket science |

try reading my post again carefully, and then read the one by "just sharing all the info" it couldnt be any clearer |

Ok you win, I really just think anyone who is having sex without using birth control is just playing with fire (pull out method or not) So, I would rather everyone just use SOMETHING unless they WANT to get pregnant!!! |

i absolutely agree, people need to be responsible |

Whitney- You bf lied to you. Take a test. |

I can not really believe that this is a discussion. Why anyone would think that this is even considered a "method", I will never understand. If common sense is lacking that much, these people should not be having sex at all. |
