It only takes one time to get pregnant. At the earliest, if you had sex the day she ovulated, she could test 9 days after intercourse and get a positive result on the pregnancy test, but there are a lot of false negatives that early; it's better to wait about 2 weeks to test. At the latest, if you had sex a week before she ovulated (yes, sperm can live in the female reproductive tract a long time), that's 7 days to O, another (let's look at a long luteal phase) 16 days to expected period, and toss in 4 days for hCG levels to go up more in case you bought a test that isn't the most sensitive; she could test 27 days after you had sex. So: 9 to 27 days should cover the range of days after sex to test and possibly get a positive result.

a woman usually ovulates between day 14-16 of her cycle. so you should have sex at least every other day starting at day 12 all the way to 18 and she can test about 14 days later. if the test is neg and she still doesnt get a period then wait a week and test again. good luck
