Slightly O/T.... Paternity Testing

My real father lives in New York, and I've contacted him once my whole life. He says he doesnt remember my mother, and that if I am his daughter he wasn't told anything about me. How would we do a paternity test? I live in Ohio, he lives in New York.

Hi, Amanda! How long has it been since you contacted him? Do you think he would cooperate with testing if you asked him to? It's worth a shot. If not, I'd say you might want to consider talking with a lawyer that handles family law, like adoption, divorce, wills, etc. Even if they can't help, they could probably tell you who to talk to about it, and at least give you info about the legal aspects of the situation.
