My dd is 7 weeks tomorrow. For the past week or so she has this dry skin patch on her forhead. It's sorta yellow-ish. Is this eczema or just dry skin? Is there anything I should do about it? Lotion? No lotion?

Sounds like eczema... the lotion won't help if it is, you'll have to get a very mild hydrocortisone cream to clear it up. Get your doctor or pharmacist to recommend one for babies, that is safe for use on the face.

My dd had the same thing. It was dry in the space between her eyes and worked it's way to her eyebrows. It wasn't yellow but white. I would just rub olive oil on it and it would disappear, but of course come back after a bath or later in the day. I sometimes would pick the pieces that were almost flaking off, just to help it along. I began to think it was cradles cap as I read it can appear other places besides their head. She is now 9 weeks and it seems to be gone.

The yellow-ish colour sounds kind of like a cradle-cap sort of thing. My dd had it when she was new. Try a bit of oil, it might come right off.
