i just got mine 2 wenesdays ago , samething mirena..i stopped bleeding, but i am still spotting, espcially when i am doing alot...and its not alot its like just a spot...sorry my TMI...my dr said i could spot for a long time i could even get my period alot too. but spotting doesnt bother me so much...im just glad i have and i have had no cramping...have you?

I've been a bit crampy, like period crampy. Not really bad though, just annoying. My doctor told me I may or may not get a period...and that some women don't have one the entire time the IUD is in. I hope I'm one of those women!!

My dr told me that...he siad i might spot and then be fine after that. he said it looks like my body is going to take very good to it, so it loooks like i might not get a period...

I have the mirena as well and I spotted off and on for the first 4 months and then it was normal again. It wasn't daily and it wasn't much, just spotting. It takes a few cycles for hormones to adjust I think.

Well thats good news indeed! Maybe I will be the same way, I don't seem to be reacting badly to it or anything. I guess if it were going to be a problem I would be bleeding heavily. (Although my dd is 7 weeks, so don't see how there would be anything left in there!! Sorry way tmi!!!)

Oh yeah, and I almost died when I saw the box the thing comes in sitting on the counter. It was huge! And all for this tiny little device. The box is quite misleading, thank goodness!

I have one same thing and then my period is down to being only one day!!! love the thing i will never have anything else!

Yeah, my husbands eyes got huge when the doctor was explaining the process and mentioned "clamping the cervix to hold it in place." It's amazing the things we have to go through as women.

lol...my dh was at a different dr appt same time...lol..i had ds with me...i didnt feel a thing i didnt believe him when he said i was done...

LOL....I made dh go with me so he could help with the kids. (and so he could see what I was having to go through....lol) It hurt some when he clamped my cervix. It actually started bleeding, and he had to use some gauze and hold it there to stop the bleeding. You're lucky you didn't feel anything!
