Hi! I just came across this brand of frozen pureed baby food. I live about 1hr outside downtown Vancouver BC, and about that far from the nearest retailer that sells this brand line. Before I make the trip downtown I was wondering if anyone has bought this or seen it. How much are they? what are they like? ect. I made baby food for ds1 and now ds2 but remember how much of a chore it was to make the meat ( something I'll have to be starting on soon with ds2). I was looking for an alternative to the jarred which all smell and taste like dog food to me. Thanks!

Hi there! I live in Ontario and am buying these products. I don't remember how much they are ( I could check, they sell them at my Shoppers Drugmart). But they are totally worth it. I don't buy the purees for veggies and fruits, but I do buy the meats. First of all, the taste and texture are great (whenever I taste it to make sure the temperature is all right, I like it myself!), and while they are not organic (the meat, that is), they are grown without hormones or antibiotics. A friend of mine actually introduced me to that brand, and I would highly recommend it. Let me know if you want me to check the price; I have to go buy some next week, so I can pay attention.

Yes, please check the price. Thank you so much!

Hey DDT! I went to Shoppers Drugmart this week and the meat is $6.99 for 6X59ml and fruits are $5.99 for the same amount. I did end up buying fruits because they have organic mango puree on its own (not mixed with anything) and it's pretty hard to get good mangoes at this time of the year!

Thanks CgGirl! I just called about 6 seperate Shoppers Drugmart stores and all of them don't carry "Mother Hen" products. It just annoys and baffles me that in Ontario they would, while in BC they don't. It looks like I will have to make that trek downtown then. Thanks again! That's a good price considering my ds wouldn't eat a whole container in one meal. I could make one pack last about 2 weeks. And not a bad price for frozen fruit either...considering a bag of frozen fruit costs about that or a little more.

Lol! I just called this retailer downtown to make sure they had the product on the shelf. Well, apparently they no longer carry this brand because of distributor problems. Great! I just emailed "Mother Hen" asking them where I could get this product. It looks like it may only be available in Ontario. Oh well....I tried...
