Ok, generally I have no problems with the "diapies" as I call them in mom language(we use huggies)!! But ds just woke up with pee all over... DH put the diaper on too lose and it was a waterfall, just started dripping all the way to the changer!! lol...so trying to get rid of the drama post I figured that I would as what the worst diaper messes you have ever had were.... sorry about the random topics of my posts...but it we get enough up here it will bump the others to the 2nd page.

My second ds after he was born was in the hospital for up to five days. He was breastfeed and had a big blow out,all over the yellow sleeper. My pastor at the time came to visit and he picked up the yellow sleeperand asked"Is this yours and are you forgetting something" I said "Noit is the hospitals and they can have fun cleaning it." It was one of those sleepers.

lol that's pretty funny! We've had tons of diaper accidents too.

Have you read Jenny McCarty's book "Baby Laughs"? She has an entire chapter devoted to diaper blowouts and its hilarious! I read her book just after my son was born and I could so relate to "sh_tting up the back" as she called it, and having to use scissors to cut off their onsies.

sounds like a good book!

It probably happened soon after we brought dd home from the hospital. She pooped and it just started overflowing like green lava from the top front and back of her diaper. When I attempted to pick her up, this caused even more overflow and it was dripping from my hands and fingers as I tried to move her onto the changing table. We were both covered. it actually prompted a phone call to the pediatrician because her belly lutton stub had not fallen off yet and he had told me not to bathe (submerge her)her until it fell off. So I called him and asked if it was OK to give her a quick dunk and he was like "well, if she is covered in feces.....yes, it's OK!!"

Oh yeah! 3 days ago Jack was in his exersaucer...you can just picture it can't you...all that pressure on his little bottom and it shot straight up the back and straight up the front...it must have shot to either side of "the boys" though because it was not right in front but just off to the sides! I stuck him right in his tub after I managed to peel his outfit and onsie off! e w w w w w!

First time DS went days without pooping... probably around 4ish months I think. He was wearing one of those footed sleepers and sitting in his little blue chair. I could tell he'd done it, and I picked him up to change him, and I could feel it squishing around in the sleeper! EW! lol He filled up one whole leg. It was disgusting. I called my mom, laughing hysterically, and said "NO ONE told me I'd have to clean $h!t outta baby TOES!" lol

Cate was probably a couple of months old, and we went to the Dr for a check up for something. Well, nautrally that was the day I FORGOT to check the diaper bag to make sure there were extra diapers and a spare set of clothes. When we got to the Dr's office, I thought I could smell that oh-so-familiar breastmilk poop smell. DD was still in her infant car seat, so I tried to peek at her while still in the seat (I was afraid to get her out). The WHOLE side of her sleeper was bright yellow-orange from her arm pit, all down her back and leg to about her knee. It was all over the back of the car seat too. I was so mortified, and embarassed that I couldn't even change the poor thing. Luckily, the daycare that I used to work at is like 5 minutes from my Dr, so I dropped in there to clean her up and borrow some clothes for the ride home. That was probably our worst blow-out ever!! Now, I always make sure I double check the diaper bag for extra diapers & spare clothes!!

I was in Helburg Diamonds picking up a ring my dh had bought for me. I had baby on my hip...when she starts tooting. But it kept going, and going, and going...I never knew a 2 month old could do such a long toot. All of a sudden the saleswomans says..."Ummmm, she is leaking...!" This baby had litteraly FILLED the diaper...poop was oozing up her back...it was coming out both legs....it was running down my hip, leg and on my shoe...and all over their floor! In 6 kids-I had NEVER seen so much poop! I didn't know where to start...finally I just arapped her in a blanket and laid her down in the stroller and cleaned it off me, off the floor and left as fast as I could. I went out to the car and tried to wash her off with my little thinginy of wipes...yeah, that didn't cut it. Finally, I just put her back in the pooy blanket and drove home. There was nothing that was going to cut it...but a head to toe bath! UGH!!!!!!!!! It was the grossest thing ever! No one can tell me breastfeeding poop don't stink! LOL! BTW, I threw the clothes and blanket away!

I did read both of her books...I laughed hystarically at the "leaf" floating in the tub...Some good reading for those who have the time too.. I highly recommed them....LMAO reading all of your posts :)

LOL, There couldnt have been a more perfect time to post this because...on last Saturday, I had ds in his bathchair in the kitchen sink, He loves the water faucet because it has a shower mode. So he was sitting there just as quiete as can be and I had just figured that he was tired and going to sleep as he usually goes to sleep during bath time. I usually let him sit with the running water for about 10-15 minutes, well when I got ready to bathe him I noticed that he had poo'd ALOT!, so I had to two big messes to clean up. him and his chair....rofl!!! the look on his cute face was sooo innocent!

when dd was only weeks old i had to take her for a kidney ultrasound. maybe 2 or 3 weeks, i was bf at the time and the tech was like wow look at her tummy churning - i was like oh boy, she's gonna s--- and they were like no she will be ok and i was like i'm telling ya right now she's gonna s--- and they were like hold on im gonna show these to the doc, you can go ahead and put the diaper on her. so i barely finished putting the diaper on her and it fountained out the back of the diaper on my sweater and jeans - my brother who had driven us because i still couldnt drive due to the c-section was like in hysterics and i was too but i had to spend te rest of the appointment covered in poo..

Gavinsmom - May 21st, 2007 12:55 PM

The other day, Gavin had a huge blowout (sh*t up the back) and dh was calling for me to help. He tried to take his onesie off and when he did, the poop was all over his back, neck and even in his hair! Dh's hands were covered, too! I thought it was hilarious! *Sigh* Men just never know the tricks, do they!?

Jennifer28 - May 21st, 2007 12:57 PM

You all made me LOL!! I have had quite a few "blow outs" with dd but my favorites are when dh has her on his own. I came home one day and on the front porch was a bag full of dd's clothes and I could smell that "oh so familiar" breast milk poo smell, lol. Sure enough dd had a pretty serious blow out so dh grabbed a plastic baggy stripped, her ON THE FRONT PORCH and threw her clothes in the bag. I laughed until I cried!

I took a 4 week old James to Wal mart one sunday afternoon, and I forgot the diaper bag at home. Well, in-store, James took a massive poop, one of the blow out ones that end up all over their back and legs. He was wearing a little onsie. I took him into the bathroom to use the diaper changing station and the diaper vending machine. It was out of diapers, so I lost my dollar. So I had a naked poop covered James in hand and I took him to the customer service desk. I asked for the diaper kit that comes in the vending machine. and for my dollar. They took their sweet time, and came back with a size 5 diaper, which of course is swimming on him. So for the rest of the shopping trip I have a naked newborn in a stroller wearing the largest generic diaper known to man. It was very embarassing.

OMG I am laughing so hard! I had two embarrassing blowouts with Liam. One was with our first outing out with him to a friend's memorial party. He was getting oohed and ahed over and we were feeding him and he was being charming. I pick him up to burp him and discover a prize on his back. We hustle him into the bedroom and strip him down and he had destroyed the back of his jammies (it was late) and onesie and the diaper was overflowing. We basically used every wipe in our bag to hose him down and wet towels etc. The other one was at home. He had this bad habit of pooping early in the morning when everyone was asleep. So one weekend my husband went to get him up and he was COVERED in poo on his back. We stripped him down and I had to soak his clothes before putting them in the wash, that was how bad it was. Thank goodness for stainstick. He got a one way trip to bathtime in the morning that day. I think poop went up to his shoulderblades!!! It was a brand new jammy too, of course. But I got it all out! :)
