MY 6 WEEK OLD HAS RECENTLY STARTED FUSSING THROUGH MOST OF HIS BOTTLES. HE CRIES AND GETS STIFF AND WE HAVE TO STRUGGLE TO GET HIM TO DRINK. I HAVE TRIED GIVINF HIM MYLOCON DROPS AND PATTIN HIM IN ALL DIFFERENT POSITIONS. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A GASSY BABY OR SOMETHING MORE?

Boy, that must be so frustrating for you! I'd have the Pediatritian look at him if I were you. It sounds like gas or something else to me.

Trust me if it is gas you should use OVAL drops it will be in any pharmacy! It is all natural and proven to work! Gripe water has not been proven to work as so my pedi has said. Also I am just wondering is your baby also arching his back?? Spitting up?? You may want to discuss acid reflux with your doctor! My daughter was the same way! And are you making sure your baby is fully burped and burped in the middle of a feeding and right after?

try using different types of bottles. a slow flow nipple will help if the discomfort is from him getting too much milk at once. and playtex linner bottles can cut down on how much air he sucks down. you can also try cup feeding and see if that works. and talk to your ped about the formula your using.

My 6 1/2 week old does the same sometimes but I know hers is gas and It takes a long time to get It out I agree with the rest try the oval drops and if in doubt take him in. I know It can be fustrating but hang in there it won't be long and he will start getting rid of the gas on his own. Make sure you try to burp after every oz or two he might get mad but it helps.
