Thanks 'lol' for clearing that up for her. Yes. I was being sarcastic... Jamie, thanks for givingme a laugh, when you assumed I misused a word, then you looked it up and found out it's what I meant -And I think we're all getting a little tired of your "austerity". Need to look that one up and give us the definition of IT too?

Thanks Tiffani. I'm still trying to breastfeed, but I do leave Nadya with my mum sometimes, so that I can go shopping, and I have to leave formula for her then, cos I can never pump enough. I think I'll carry on just doing what I'm doing for now. How is your little Dylan?

Anne - I think your post made my mind up, not to quit completely. I'm not the most organised person in the world, and I can just see myself forgetting to buy formula, and only realising in the middle of the night. That's just like me! That must've been awful for you.

Juicy, you bore me. I'm not even going to engage with you anymore.

Breastfeeding uses up to 500 calories a day so can help you lose weight but some people find that the weight doesn't drop off until they've actually stopped breastfeeding.
I bottle fed and I lost the weight really quickly - I was 9 stone pre-pregnancy and I put on 2 stones, then 2 weeks after the birth I was 9 stone again.
Breast and formula milk both have the correct nutrients but the advantage of breast milk is that it also has antibodies, but as you've done it for 8 weeks a lot of these will have passed onto your baby already. With bottle feeding your partner (and other family etc) can be a lot more involved so it's a lot easier if you're going back to work etc.
You've breastfed for 8 weeks which is good. It's entirely up to you whether you continue or switch to bottle feeding. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty about bottle feeding though because it's your decision. At the end of the day and you should do what makes you happy because baby would prefer a happy mum than one who is exhausted all the time and doesn't really want to be breastfeeding!
