Hi, all! Does anyone have any suggestions of what to feed my baby? My ped suggested to stay with fruits and vegetables for now, so we have done apples, pears, peaches, mangos and bananas, all these with great results, and green peas, sweet potato, zucchini, carrots and today we will try squash. I wonder if there is anything I am forgetting, or if for example broccoli and beets are OK (I am affraid he might get gassy or I will gag at the look of the beets), or if I should leave it here for now. Any ideas?

Have you tried green beans, mixed veggies, or spinach? My dd loves them all. Also, the mixed fruits are her favorites. The apple/mango, the bananna/berry and the blueberry/apple.

Hey Annette- I'm not sure how old your baby is, but a great food that my ds loves is regular applesauce (not the baby food). I buy the jars of organic kind that do not have any added sugar. I found that this was a great transitional food when introducing stage 3 foods and more solid "people" foods. Sounds like you are on the right track though! Oh, one more thing- yo baby yogurt ( ask your ped. first). I think almost all babies love this stuff- I like it too!

I was about to say avacado as well. You can just feed it to your LO right from the skin. Spinach and green beans are great.

Thanks, girls. Yes, we do the avocado, too, it's his top 1st. My son is 6 months, tyler0323, I would love to hear how to prevent gas, he isn't gassy normally but he might get if I add too many greens I believe. Haven't tried the spinach or the green beans. JEN, when did you start feeding your baby yogurt? I won't see my ped until November and forgot to ask her. She only said no meats before 8 months and no berries for now.

One of my baby food books suggested mashing the avocado with a banana. My son LOVED it and I tasted it too. YUMMY!!!!
