Pregnancy Info HOME

Since having my first son I can proudly announce that I am current up on all of my Naruto, Ben 10 and Yugioh info. Also Star Wars (beyond the movies), and everything Halo 1 and 2 and all the novels that were written in between. I am also up on Bear in the big blue house and have learned to tolerate Elmo for the greater good. I no longer drink or smoke and can play a mean game of go fish :)

Where to begin, lol. DH & I used to go out w/ friends EVERY Fri & Sat night. Get totally wasted and party until dawn. Now, I'm in bed and asleep by 10:30 at the VERY latest on the weekend. On the very rare occasion we do go out, dh and I have a couple of drinks and are usually home by 12:30. Granted dd is only 6 months old so we'll see if this continues as she gets older of if we'll eventually get more brave and actually let her spend the night out. *gasp*. :)

Basically everything lol.

I have been a poker player for about 6 years and it used to be my favorite thing to do in the world. I used to go out and play almost every night of the week and I would go play at the casinos. I still love the game but I don't care about it since I had my ds really. I don't even go out to play when my dh offers to watch him because I feel like I would miss my ds too much!!

EVERYTHING!! I was a bartender when I found out I was preggo. I was at the bar every night- either working or drinking. I quit bartending when I found out I was preggo. I also quit smoking. DH and I were always the last ones to leave the party, and have after hours at our house. NOW, on the RARE occasion we do go out together, we are home BEFORE the bar closes, and I would probably die the next day if we even attmepted after hours!! I used to spend $$$ at the mall every weekend, now I am lucky to even go there once a month, and when I do, the $ is spent on dd. I feel like my only shopping sprees anymore are to Wal-Mart... :( We used to go away for weekend trips either camping, skiing, etc... and we haven't even left dd over night ONCE and she is 16 mos old.... I could go on and on, really, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I miss it sometimes, but if I had to choose.... she would win, hands down!!

I used tolove to buy myself clothes. Now when I go to the mall I only buy stuff for my baby. When i go in old Navy I head straight to the back to look at the baby stuff-most of the time I never even look at the stuff in the back.

Wow my whole life has changed too.....me and hubby used to go go go all the time. We have a wide range of interests and between them all we were hardly ever home. Yep between the motorcycle ralleys, fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, boating and on and on it was amazing for us to answer our home phone number. Now life has slowed way down......I see much more of the walls of my house and my own backyard....heck may have to start planting things.....hmmm......now I am glad we got to have that time of freedom but honestly I do not really miss all the go go go.......at least to the places Austin should not be anyway......basically I am content with all the changes......and I have learned lots of new songs like......beep beep chugga chugga big red car.....we'll travel near and we'll travel faaaar.....lol

I think the biggest change for me, is that my heart feels so full of emotion ALL the time that I cry at the drop of a hat....things that are happy, sad and in-between ~~ and I am crying LOL.

I am such a softy now too ssmith.....and I never dreamed I could love so feriously......wow just the other day I watched my dh and lo drive away somewhere and I thought ....wow there goes my whole world in that car......

Emmie: I am with you on that. I used to buy myself things all the time, now I spend most of my money on dd. If she looks good, I feel good I guess. Wait until she starts playing with toys, then I will REALLY be broke!

EVERYTHING. I was alot like ashtynsmom my dh were rock stars with the after hours also I was a flight attendant so we traveled alot. When we had ds we picked up and moved to a better [;ace in order to raise our ds. I quit my job which lost its appeal when I had ds and couldnt leave him for 2-4 days at a time. Pre s I never cried now I am such a sucker- dam commercials. I am also much more forgiving to people with childern and more compassionate. I have a love like I never knew exsited. I would do anything in the world for him and I have become very proctective.

On the down side I always have 3 inch roots and stains on my clothes.

I used to be one of those weekly manicure girls. Now a manicure is an occasional treat. And I'll join LisaB in the "3-inch Root Club."

I was on the phone with my Mom the other day while my son was watching cartoons and I was telling her about it. Sad, I only get to watch the Disney Channel. I have no idea what goes on in the world anymore.

frankschick, I was like you too, keeping up with the celeb rags and stuff like that but now I have no idea what's going on in that world. lol I have also started taking better care of myself so I can be there for my son. I am currently trying to lose weight and get down to a healthy size.
