When Did Your Period Return?

It has been 4 and a half, almost five months, since my dd was born. I am nursing her exclusively (Although just trying to start her on some rice cereal this week). I have not yet gotten my period back. Is there an average for how long it takes? My mom nursed me and said she got her period back after 5 WEEKS! Not in a hurry to get it back, just curious! :)

I got my period back almost 10 months after my daughter was born. She was 50/50 with breastfeeding and formula. I stopped nursing her at 9 months, then 3 1/2 weeks later my period came back. I think every woman is different, but on average, my OB said it takes about 6 months.

Ds1 was BF until he was 5 wks old and ds2 was BF until he was 8 wks old. I didn't get AF with either of them until 4 months PP. And even then my period was/is very irregular. My cycle has gone from 30 days pre-baby, to anything between 30-45 days. Ds2 is 13 months old and my cycle still hasn't stabilized. I wonder if it ever will again...

i nursed my son till just after his 2nd birthday but my period returned when he was 18 months.
