When Will I Get My First Period?

I just had my son on dec 18th. I only bleed for a week and a half after I had him. I have had two other kids and think I started earlier with them. I will be 5 weeks postpartum tomarrow. When should I get my period?

Hi, I got my first period at 4 months pp after both my boys. I BF for 2-2.5 months with both of them and then went onto formula. It's different for every woman though. Some get AF within the first month PP, while others only get it after 12 months PP.

Congrats on your little boy! Most women that are not bf'ing get their periods back by their 6 week postpartum checkup.

The reason I'm asking is because me and my husband had sex for the first time at two weeks postpartum and the stupid condom broke. I think I might ask my doctor to do a preg test on monday when I go for my checkup. Thanks everyone.

generally around 6 weeks.unless you are breastfeeding, i haven't had mine in about a year!!
