I have a three month old dd. She's a great sleeper at night and will go for 6-7 hour stretches pretty regularly. She also goes to bed very willingly at night, I nurse her and put her in her basinet and she usually falls right to sleep.
During the day is a different story though. She won't sleep in her crib or her swing. She sometimes will fall asleep on me after i nurse her. She only naps for about an hour at a time if she does fall asleep. Any recommendations? She's grumpy and super tired by the evening, but we can't find a good way to get her to sleep!

I would recommend the book "The Baby Whisperer (3rd Ed.). Great tips on getting lo's to sleep. I think the main issue may be lack of a routine. Babies crave routine. There is also a book called, "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" Also great book. Good luck.

My dd was just like yours at 3 months, sleeping great at night and not napping well. She is now 9 1/2 months old and naps great. She will go down around 9:30am and sleep for aboout 1.5 hrs. Then around 2pm she will sleep another 1.5 hrs.I do not think she got into a regular nap schedule until about 6-7 months. Between 4-7 months she would not nap more than 30-40 min at a time, it drove me nutts!!! I ended up buying the "Baby whisperer" book too and there are some great tips on napping and sleeping through the night. Also, being consistant with the naps helps alot. Just read the signs of tiredness, rubbing their eyes, yawning and sometimes they get pretty cranky. Now, she does not sleep well during the night, go figure! lol Good luck
