before you had your baby did your doctor check for yeast infections and things again? I heard if you have a yeast infection or something it can cause the trash.

if you have a yeast infection it can be passed to baby when you give birth, if you have a vaginal birth.

I was guessing thrush....... I got checked for everything when I first found out I was pregnant, but hormonal changes can cause infections. I was forever getting thrush in the 3rd stage of pregnancy, and I got Bacterial Vaginosis at around 15 weeks. The doctors wouldn't treat it though. They said antibiotics are worse than having that, even though BV can set you off into premiture labour. I got rid of thrush by the tablets I was given but the BV just went away on it's own straight away after I had Ben.

yes thrush sorry bout that . im now 31 weeks and was reading and read that it can be passed i was just woundering if most of your doctors checked you again before giving birth

lol. I figured she meant thrush. My doc told me that bacterial vaginosis is much more common than a yeast infection..in all women. a lot of yeast infections are misdiagnosed and are actually BV...and this typically goes away as Lesley says soon after giving birth. The hormones may have an affect on the balance of good and bad bacteria.

My daughter had thrush, and I had a c-section...the only thing my doc checked for was group b strep, which I had, but that didn't matter much because of the c-section.
