Hi Pete. Is there a doctor nearby where you can go to have your daughter's weight checked? My daughter also never drank as much as she was "supposed" to when I weaned her, but she gained weight well, so I didn't worry about it after that. Does your daughter seem alert, active, and satisfied after feedings? That's a good sign, as well. Good luck...

Hi, Pete. Sharing my experience, I weaned my son 1 month ago, when he was 5 mo. The milk can said by that age he should be drinking 35 oz (5 bottles of 7 oz each) which was definitely NOT happening. He wasn't even reaching 25 oz a day and believe me I was as worried as you are. There was just no way on earth to fit any more milk in him, until one day he finished his 4 oz and asked for more so we upgraded to 5 oz, he might get hungry faster but he won't take more than that each time. Right now he is up to 25 oz a day and the ped said it is perfectly fine. He also didn't drink from the #3 nipple, actually he choked on the #2 so we stayed on the #1 until he was 6 and we still use it everyonce in a while, like when he is laying down holding his bottle by himself, I'd just let her drink from whatever she prefers. Just like sahmof3 said, my son was gaining weight, satisfied so I stopped worrying and gave him more time to adapt from breast to formula.
