my son is so bow legged, are any of your babies like this? he has been walking since he was about 10 months old. when he walks it looks funny, his feet turn inward sort of. my mom is saying he is going to have to wear a brace on his legs, but i think she is just exagerrating. i'm going to mention it to his peditrician for his 15 month check up, but thats on the 29th.

Its funny that the last three posts are similar coz breech presentation is associated with bowed legs/club feet. As i mentioned in the last 2 posts my son had club feet and his legs were bowed too but they straightened out. Did you have normal delivery? Many times this goes undiagnosed so i would have your son get an ultrasound to check his hips now.

yea i had a normal delivery, i just now read the club foot post, how old was ur son when his legs finally straightened out?

All babies pretty much start out like that, but 15 mos is a little long. I would mention it to your peditriction and request tests to be sure. My dd started walking at 12 mos but I am pretty sure her bow leggedness was gone by 15 mos

My son's legs always looked a bit bowed---if he pulled them up he looked like a little ball--it was so cute. He is absolutely fine now without any medical intervention---Mom's and Mil's seem to want to find problems and exaggerate them. My MIL told me I'd have to get surgery to 1.) reduce my son's breast size and 2.) Cut back his ears. I was fuming--she did this to my poor husband. They are beautiful just the way they are---and there's NOTHING wrong with my son's ears or breasts (ha ha --breasts *giggle giggle*) . But meagan if it does bother you, if by your interpretation you think there might be something there, do not hesitate to ask your doc. It really couldn't hurt

Meagan, im not sure when they straightened out...hmm maybe around 3 months? They aren't completely straight now , but his feet aren;t pointing inwards anymore and it looks pretty much ok. Smilefull did your MIL actually suggest your son get surgery to reduce his 'breasts'????? Oh my days she's so weird. Did she have that done to your dh? That woman has issues (no offence!)
