My 9 mo. dd has been constipated for the past 3 days. The first time she was constipated I gave her prunes for a few days and it did the trick. Now it isn't helping. I've been massaging her belly clockwise, I've just been giving her fruits and veggies (no apples or bananas), and warm baths. She is so uncomfortable. I don't know what else to do. I have a call into her ped. but I haven't heard back from her yet. Any advise please?

I actually used the glycerine suppositories for babies, and it worked so well. It was difficult for me but ds didn't mind a bit, lol. I just asked my pharmacist - they are not prescription -and she said they are safe for babies of all ages.

The suppositories are not habit forming and will give her some immediate relief. Mason used to (pardon my description) squish the glycerine ones back out with his butt cheeks, lol...so I use the liquid ones. I wuld go and get one of either to use now until you can speak to the pediatrician to come up with a plan.
