Hi. i had missed 2 days of bc pills and was supposed to start Feb 10. Since i didnt i took a first response test and got a light but positive result. Later that day i went and got a digital test and it said "pregnant" on it. I was sure i was pg and went to have a blood test done thinking it was going to be positive. Blood test came back undetermined because my level was only a 13 and i had to be 25 to be considered positive. They said to come back in 2 days. Yesturday morning i did another first response test and i could barely see the line now. I went for another blood test and the hcg had actually dropped to 11. My gyno said i was probably going to be miscarry the baby. Has anyone had this happen and ended up with a healthy pregnancy??? Please, i wasnt ready for this baby but when i saw "Pregnant" on the test, i loved the baby and dont want anything to happen. Please respond....

Gosh, it is really hard to say. It is not a good sign for your numbers to drop so low. If you haven't been having any spotting or cramping then I would say there is still some hope. Good luck, I really hope all is ok!

Sounds more like it might have even been just a chemical pregnancy where the fertilized egg doesn't implant. I'm very sorry, but it's doubtful this pregnancy will continue (your HGC levels are supposed to double every 2-3 days, so any drop in HGC levels is a very poor sign).

I figured. Thanks anyway. I havnt had any spotting or bleeding yet so i do guess that the egg didnt implant. Why would this happen though? Did i do something wrong?

Definitely sounds like a chemical pregnancy, I'm sorry nino :( Not only is the dropping not good, but the numbers are really low too for being past the time you are due for AF.

nino you didn't do anything wrong. sometimes the fertilized egg has chromosonal issues and that's why it either stopped developing or wasn't able to implant. nothing you could have done either. don't beat your self up. i'm sorry for your loss.

Hi. Thanks for your response. I started bleeding Saturday. I am very sad. I still have to go later on today to take another blood test because they want to make sure my hormone level is all the way down. This wasnt planned and we are not ready for another baby but after this, I really want another baby.
