I have been giving dd cereal for a month and have been mixing it with breastmilk. She is currently still breastfed. My supply is running low on stored milk and i was wondering if I could start mixing the cereal with anything else?

you could try with a touch of cooled boiled water, not sure how that would make it taste though. btw where is it you live? sorry cant remember

You could mix up a little formula if you have some. I breastfed my son but always had a can of sample formula in the house.

I used formula for ceral as I did not want to use my pumped milk for that. Also purfied water is okay too. How old is your lo? When I started giving mine fruits, I mixed the cereal with banana or applesause babyfood.....

my dd is six months and i just started introducing vegetables to her. Would I want to give her fruit in her cereal if I haven't really given her many vegetables?
so some of you have mixed formula with cereal? And it tastes ok to them?

I always used apple juice or water. I have also used applesauce or peaches...runny stage one food like that for taste.

I use distilled water and quite often mix fruit into it too...

I use formula, but ds has always been FF, I mixed it with water one time and he didn't really like it.

You can mix w/ purified water, however it will not have much taste to it. She may refuse to eat it. You can mix it w/ fruits or veggies (although, im not sure how the oatmeal cereal would taste w/ carrots... LoL) I mixed rice cereal w/ peas, carrots, or any fruit or veggie. If it's too thick, add just a little water. You can deff use formula to mix w/ the cereal and still breastfeed. Formula, like breastmilk is sweet tasting. If you have already intorduced some veggies... you can introduce anything. Just wait a couple of days inbetween food intorduction to make sure that she isn't allergic to anything.
