Hey ldaies,
my dd is 7 months old and I still have not got my period. Is this normal? I am breastfeeding, and I know that can delay your period, but 7 months?

Hi Mari, yes I think it is normal...my daughter will be 8 months this week and I still have not gotten a period. I started and stopped the minipill twice because I hated the side effects so I wondered if it threw my hormones off, but oh well. I hated it! I started breaking out like crazy.

Yes, it's normal. You may not get it for another few months even. Consider yourself lucky, I got my period at 9 weeks postpartum even though I was exclusively breastfeeding. Every body is different.

You can go a lot longer than 7 months if you are breastfeeding - don't worry about it and enjoy it while you can.

I only got 6 months out of it but it's because my daughter is totally obsessed with solid foods. She's still nursing but as soon as we added in solid foods I got my period back. Now I'm pregnant with number 2 and I'm hoping by the time the new baby gets here she'll be done nursing...

Thanx ladies for all your help. I was pretty sure it was normal not to have it yet, but just checking. :)
