Hello. I hope this isnt tmi. I am successfully bf my dd who is 5.5 mo. Two days ago dh noticed a line of bumps on one breast while she was eating. I of course was horrified, I pushed on them and I could feel the milk go away. almost like it was clogged. I have noticed them a few times a day since. Could this be a clogged milk duct? I thought they hurt. These dont. I am concerned and a little grossed out by the whole thing. Any advice is appreciated

My ds is 8 months and is still breastfed. I started noticing the smae lumps around 4 months and I asked my ob and she said it is the ducts filling up with milk. She said they aren't really painful unless they get clogged. Mine were not painful at all. I am super cautious because when ds was 1 week, I got mastitis, so I pay very close attention to any "wierd" thing that might happen with my breasts. I don't think there is anything to worry about unless they become painful and do not go away with each feeding. But I am not a doctor, so consult your ob if you are still concerned.

I had a milk bleb which caused clogged ducts. It didnt hurt but I could feel the bump. Try massaging it as baby is feeding or while you're pumping/expressing.
