Ok I had my doctors appt today and she said that I'm 1 cm. Now people have told me that it could happen soon and others have told me that I got a LONG while yet. How fast can you got from 1 to 10 while drinking raspberry leaf tea?

I went into the hospital to be induced at around 4 1/2-5 cm, he just didnt want to come out. So, you can dilate pretty much all you want, but the labor part has to kick with it : )

Red raspberry is good for strengthening and toning the uterus, but it probably wont put you into labor. There are several different herbs that can be taken to induce labor, if your body, and baby, is ready. Evening primrose oil is one that is good, it helps to soften the cervix and allow it to efface and dilate a bit quicker. Blue cohosh can cause contactions also, but I would advise to speak with a midwife or your ob about the dosages first before proceeding with that one, as it can be a very powerful and sometimes toxic herb if taken the wrong way or too much, Castor oil does work too, it will start labor fairly quick, but it can also give you diarrea, so be careful. I know 2 people that this one has worked for: eat plain mac and cheese with A12 steak sauce on it and some fresh pineapple, if it works you should be in labor within a few hours. There are a lot of herbal remedies out there, some work for some people some dont, if I were you, I would google all of these things I have suggested and also speak with your ob/midwife. Good luck to you!!!!
