This is my 2nd child, so you would think I would be able to answer this myself..
When I had my first DD, I dilated to 4 without even knowing it. I didn't feel any contractions up until I actually lost my plug and went into full blown labor.
I am now 33 weeks 6 days pregnant with DD#2 and I have been getting irregular contractions all day. When I get them, they will be 3-4 minutes apart and last for a minute or two. I will get them for about 30 minutes, then they go away for a few hours and come back. They aren't horribly strong, but feel much like mild to moderate menstrual cramps.
My question is this: When should I call my doctor or go into the hospital? Since they aren't regular, I assume I'm not actually in labor, correct? But, does this mean that I'm getting close to going into labor or is this just my body preparing for it? I have to have a repeat c-section, and I'm scheduled for October 23rd. I am kind of scared to go into labor early because the hospital here will not do VBACs, but what if I don't think I'm really in labor and I wait too long? Sorry, am I just paranoid? lol
