Baby's Head Not Engaged?

Is you're baby breech (head's up), or just hasn't dropped? Because if he/she is breech then they can try to turn the baby and if he still doesn't go head down, then they'll have to do a c-section. But if your baby is "head's down" and just hasn't dropped, they can still induce you, but they might wait til you're a week over your due date. I had to be induced with my first baby. She never dropped and they just went ahead and induced me. It was a long labor, but most first-time labors usually are. Good luck! |

I have heard of that condition and the reason your doctor want to do a c-section if he didn't explain it to you is that because the baby's head is not firmly pressing against the cervix there is a chance that if he were to induce that hte cord could deliver before the baby cutting off air supply and be very dangerous for the baby .....so I would not advise trying to go into labor naturally.....it's a pretty serious condition and while some doctors are quick to jump to c-section your doctor really is wanting to do what is best for you and your baby good luck! |
