Does A Bath Help During Labour?

We did a tour of our hospital recently, and WOW.....it is so much different than the one where we used to live. It looks like a Hilton hotel, lol. Anyway, the delivery room bathrrom has a very large jacuzzi tub they put you in when in labour.....I wish I had that tub at home! I was just wondering if that really helps? I would think when having contractions that sitting in a tub would make it worse??

Im not sure...but i know that when i was having intense contractions....i was in so much pain and so focused on getting through each that i could never have imagined being anywhere except the bed. LOL :) but a jacuzzi is a nice thing to consider!

When I had my son there was a shower in the room. I tried it, and hated it. I was naked, in pain, and now all wet.
