Today is my due date and I had a doctors appt., the doc said I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Does this mean I'll go into labor soon? I've had tons of pressure and it feels like the baby is going to come out at any time..but i've had no contractions! Please someone tell me what's going on!!

im 39 weeks and have been 1 cm and 30% effaced since 36 weeks with no change so you could or it could be awhile yet

could still be a while. some people stay up tp 6 cm and end up over due. why not try some natural induction methods to get things going
