I am pretty sure that the mucus plug/bloody show are the same thing. I just lost mine the other day and would compair it to the end of a period. Like snot mixed with brownish/redish discharge. I had my membranes stripped two days ago and still no labor...as far as the heat flashes i get them too...mostly when i am sleeping...i will wake up drenched in sweat...and i have a fan and our air on...its fall and about 30 degrees outside...my poor boyfriend is always freezing. This is probably the very beginning of your labor, but it could go on for a while, you just never know. I lost my mucus plug about two weeks before my son was born, and it was exactly that -- it looked like someone had sneezed something nasty, lol. (Sorry for the TMI!) It wasn't bloody at all though. My bloody show came about 24 hours before I went into labor, and that looked like the start of my period -- bloody discharge. Oh, and I had hot flashes through the last trimester of my pregnancy (suppose it didn't help that it was august, huh?) and they definitely sucked.... sorry you're experiencing them too.

Well i just started having my bloody show tonite. To me it looks different than the mucous plug that i had about a week and a half ago. The plug looked ( i know this is really really gross) but it looked kind of like male cum, and the bloody show looks like snot with either specks of blood in it, or brown/redish tinge to it. Im not too sure myself if its the same thing though. I too am a little confused since i had it look different both times.

This is my trird pregnancy. I'm 40 and a half weeks 2 cent. dialated and 50% Eff.
this morning I lost what i assume is my mucus plug but my colour was greenish brown. Is this normal.

Ummm I am 37 weeks as of now and I still have no idea about that stupid plug! I don't even remember anything like that when I was pregnant with my daughter. The doctors say it can melt out and I think that is what happened my first time around. I never had anything just fall out of me like all you are talking about. And as I am close to labor this time I am only noticicing a heavier discharge nothing plopping out so to say and nothing bloddy this time or last. Hmm I wonder if you and I are on the same boat here. lol

my and my husband had sex and the nxt morning a yellowish white mucusy discharge came out .. but idk if it was from the sex or wat .. can someone help plss .

i am 37 weeks pregnant and have been having runny discharge for a while now! when i went to the toilet just now the discharge was pink, is this the bloody show? i have also been having more braxton hicks and backache could labour be close?

Usually bloody show is a sign you are beggining to dialate. Labor could happen soon or it could be a week or two away. The mucus plug can come out all at once or it can come out a little at a time for days. Losing your plug only means you are dialated enough for the plug to come out, it can be a sign of labor or it might still be a few days away. However bloody show sometimes can be a sign of labor because it does mean you are beginning to dialate but it just depends on how fast your body decides to do it. Backache is also a sin of labor. If your contractions become more regular and are increasing in pain you should get checked.
