I think that it is possible to feel your cervix either dialating, or thinning. I have felt for the last 3 weeks a burning, and a stretching sensation. It almost feels like a really bad period. I am almost 39 weeks and I have had this pain like I said since 35 weeks. I keep thinking that in a minute she is going to fall through my cervix. And sometimes it does feel like something is sticking out of my cervix. But according to my doctor, I have not dialated, my cervix has just thinned out to almost nothing.

Lilbuddha - I see you've posted this on three different forums. No, its not possible for the baby to be poking a finger through your cervix. You are experiencing dialating and thinning. At your next dr's appointment, they should do an internal exam to tell you what the progress is down there.
