I am 37 weeks pregnant and i get the same stabbing pain when my baby pushes his head down. My stomach has been cramping as well on and off for a couple of days, kinda like menstrual cramps. Not sure what to do.

Wow, this sounds like your body is getting ready to have a baby, that's for sure. Not sure if these signs are in fact labour signs, but sounds more like getting ready for labor signs. Perosnally, if all goes well, I'm going to wait for the water to break.

No, I think that's just the baby moving and hitting a nerve, atleast that's what my doctor is doing. I'm due the end of this week and VERY anxious also.

I'll tell you what my sister told me (and she was right). You'll know when the real contractions begin because they will double you over. It will come on all of a sudden, you'll double over and then it will be gone. I had my first one at 7 pm and then I didn't have anymore until 1 am that night. But 12 hours later, my son was born.
